Schneiderman studied photography in Switzerland before her MA in Documentary Photography at University of Wales, Newport, from 2012-14. She moved to Abertillery in the South Wales valleys in 2015. In 2016 she won the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer award for her series, The Unbearable, the Sadness and the Rest, of children and adolescents (aged 8-14) in the valleys, a mix of documentary, portraiture and fashion. She completed her PhD in 2020 and has exhibited widely in Europe.
